So last thursday Taunton's own Dellars Wharf (a questionable nightspot) hosted a quite bizarre combination of acts. I was skeptical about the whole thing from the word go, nevertheless the Mystery Jets DJ set was really, quite good, they played many a classic fidget and electro house tune which made for fun dancing. Next up was Chase & status, a very different story, although this could be because i really just cannot stand drum n bass at the best of times and when there are two white guys shouting BRAP BRAP BRRRRAP over the top its really just cringe-worthy.
It wasn't just the odd choice of acts that made the night surreal, also the hordes of 1st year college kids (who i have literally never seen outside of college or sitting outside of subway), who where all there for a "savage drum n bass rinseout" gave the night a nostalgic hint of school disco, and to add hilarity 90% where jocking it shirtless style.
another weird moment was whilst waiting at the bar, a lad in his mid to late 20s nudged me and asked if i had heard the news, (living in taunton has left me constantly expecting stick from passing strangers and i must say i was expecting some witty wise crack) i obligingly replied no, and to my suprise he announced Micheal jackson had died, even after my friend checked for news updates on his iphone, i really could not beleive it until the supporting djs started playing Thriller.

And later that night while two star cross lovers rolled under their umbrella, a mysterious light escaped from my penis.
